Kim Adkins, Principal
Kim is a licensed-attorney and co-founder of the firm. Kim has vast experience in the government relations, legal and political arenas.
She has served in various roles on local, state and national campaigns. Her experience also includes tenure as a government affairs and communications associate for the Tennessee Valley Authority. At TVA, Kim managed the communications needs and provided strategic counsel to the TVA’s economic development organization and renewable energy program. Under Governor Phil Bredesen, Kim served as the policy director for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. As policy director, she interfaced with stakeholders to balance regulatory requirements and environmental responsibility.
She was a 2010 delegate to Russia for the American Council of Young Political Leaders. In 2014, Kim was named to the Nashville Business Journal’s Top Forty Under Forty. She was the Women’s Political Collaborative 2016 Nashville Athena Young Professional Nominee.
Kim is the chair of the Metropolitan Nashville Sports Authority. She was appointed to the board in 2010 by Mayor Karl Dean and reappointed under Mayor Megan Barry in 2016.
Adkins is a member of CABLE, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Nashville Bar Association. She also serves on the board of directors for the Nashville Sports Council, the Women’s Political Collaborative of Tennessee, the Tennessee Lobbyist Association, and the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the Imagination Library.
Kim graduated from Nashville School of Law in the top 10% of her class, and she received her bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University.
Kim and husband Greg, former Nashville Davidson County Councilman, live in south Nashville and have a daughter, Abbey.
